In the state of Telangana, a new scheme has been introduced i.e. Nethannaku Cheyutha Scheme 2023. The scheme has been started for the artist who belongs to the Handloom. Previously the first announcement about this scheme was made in 2017 and now renewed again in the year 2021. But recently there are so many changes have been made to this scheme by the government and now with new changes, the scheme has again been introduced to its beneficiaries.

After the agriculture area, this is the 2nd highest program which is developed in the state by the Telangana State. With the help of this scheme, the worker of the Handloom can secure their plan. So after Agriculture, the handloom was also very developed in the state. Now to provide a better life and their new program, the state government of Telangana started this scheme for the weavers of Handloom.

With the help of this scheme, to start their new project and program, they can get financial aid from the government, and a subsidy has been given to the handloom weavers. As per the income score, the government provides them with 16% of their income, and the handloom weaver contributes to the state of 8%.

So now after the same announcement, the government provides financial aid security of Rs.10,000 to the power loom employees of the state and Rs.25,000 to the handloom weavers.  The other part of this scheme is to empower the women belonging to the schedule cast, schedule tribe, and another backward cast category. All women who belong to the above-mentioned special category and are between the ages of 45 to 60 years will able to get financial aid of Rs.75000 from the government in four years.

Eligibility Criteria of Scheme

• All the permanent citizens of the Telangana state are eligible for this scheme.
• The age of the applying women and handloom weavers must be above 18 years.
• All workers who work in handloom, labor, etc can apply.
• They can now earn a good amount of money with the work of handloom.
• You must be a handloom weaver or worker.
