Semmozhi Poonga Entry Fee

Semmozhi Poonga Botanical Garden was inaugurated by the CM of Tamil Nadu Dr. M Karunanidhi on 24th November 2010. It spread over 20 acres of land. There are more than 80 trees with different specialties. It is made by the Agri- Horticultural and 80 million rupees were spent to build this garden.

In the garden here you find 500 species of plants. It is a garden with so many beautiful plants and trees and these are big collections of china and Thailand plants.

The main entrance is twenty-two feet long and fourteen feet high playful area. The natural irrigation and drain system is very charming. This area is covered with seven thousand different types of plants. There are ten-foot-high walls covered with Canadian plants. For the visitors, it is a big attraction. The butterfly garden is named in the shape of the beautiful butterfly garden decorated with so many beautiful flowers.

The aroma garden is also an attractive place where plants alike pavalmalli and parijaytham are available. From China, you find 800000 plants with lots of fragrance. Chinese plants like lucky bamboo, cactus with 45 cm diameter with different types, and Ficus velvety pink flowers bloom in the garden. Semmozhi Poonga Botanical Garden is open from 6:00 am to 8:00 am for the pass holders for jogging. And for the visitor park is open from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm. On Tuesday Park closed for maintenance.
